On Subdivision Surfaces...

There were some good articles in Game Developer Magazine that are available online. The lack the academic rigor that one might like for a class like ours, but they are good at getting the point across.

In order to view them on the web, you have to sign up for their service. So, if you don't mind that, the articles are here and here. However, I have printed them and turned them into acrobat for you. The first reading is required, the second is optional.

On Texturing and Texture Mapping...

Shirley's book (Chapter 10) is OK. However, Chapter 5 of Moller and Haines' book "Real Time Rendering" is much better. I've provided that here as an optional reading.
