Assignment 1:
This is my first attempt at creating an
animation with Maya. It is an X-Wing fighter flying out of a capital
ship's hangar. The X-Wing lifts off, hovers while its landing gears go
up, and then speeds out of the hangar.
The model is courtesy of the Star Wars
Modeling Archive. It was converted from .3ds to .obj by me, and
completely articulated by me. There are convenient controls for the
s-foils, the landing gears (including doors), and the canopy.
Unfortunately, due to Maya problems, the closing of the canopy is not
visibile, and I also could not include a certain camera angle.
Project 1: BotWars!
BotWars is a set of Maya plugins that allows you to create 'bots' and
have them fight. The goal is to write the AI for a bot so it will push
its opponent off the edge of the playing field. Please click the link
above for much more information about the system.
Project 2: MoView!
MoView is a motion capture viewer that allows one to view motions,
view differences in euler angle, quaternion, and exponential map
interpolation, export virtual motion capture marker data, and provide
automatic cinematography.
