Opens a file.

Execution : in-place

Asynchronous failures : abort

Parameters:

[in]	pathname
[out]	result	Where to store any asynchronous failures.

Returns:

The new file descriptor, or -1 if a synchronous failure occurred (in which case, errno is set appropriately).
