Here is a list of all documented namespaces with brief descriptions:

locking	Lock modes and duration type. Exported to API for use by servers to simplify the names
memory_block	Per-thread heap memory management
shore_compat	A namespace for implementations of old-style streambufs
shore_errlog	A namespace for errlog-related types
ssm_sort	A namespace to contain certain types used for ss_m::sort_file
tls_tricks	A namespace for thread-local storage tricks
two_phase_commit	Types for API used for 2PC
w_hashing	A namespace to contain types related to hashing
