Goals for Stage 2

  • Develop a scene creation tool to add objects to world, move them around, etc. Will be used to create each of the worlds included in the game.
  • Implement reflections to use for water.
  • Implement bump mapping to use on objects in the world - tree bark, terrain texture, etc. Will use CG dot 3 method.
  • Implement shadows using stencil buffer / shadow volumes
  • Load Maya objects into OpenGL
  • Begin modeling
  • Finish flushing out the story (by Fri. Oct. 3)

Long Term Goals

  • Finish scene tiling
  • Find / create models
  • Create a terrain map tool to edit terrains
