HTCondor 30th anniversary

The HTCondor 30th anniversary events have now passed. Thank you everyone who attended!

2014 is the UW-Madison CS Department's 50th anniversary! Depending on how you count it, it's HTCondor's 30th anniversary! To celebrate, the HTCondor team is hosting a reception and breakfast for everyone who has worked in the code-mines of HTCondor. Our reception is in conjunction with the CS Department's larger anniversary celebrations. (The two events are separate, you can join us for the HTCondor events without participating in the CS department's events.)

Reception

Saturday, September 13th, 2014, 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm at Union South

We'll be hosting a reception at Union South on the afternoon of Saturday, September 13th, 2014. It's a chance to catch up with current team members and other alumni. We will have several very short talks about the past and future of HTCondor, unencumbered by facts. We may remember why we're in computer science and not comedy...

We are currently scheduled to be in the "Northwoods" room on the 3rd floor, but we recommend checking the "Today in the Union" displays at Union South to confirm we haven't been reassigned at the last minute. Look for "Condor Event." You can also check the Today in the Union listings online.

Breakfast

Sunday, September 14th, 2014, 9:30 am at Sardine

If you're staying the night and need to kill some time before catching your plane, you're also invited to breakfast on the morning of Sunday, September 14th, 2014. This isn't a formal event, just a chance to get together at a restaurant.

Breakfast will be at 9:30 am at Sardine at 617 Williamson St in Madison. You can preview their menu online. There is a reservation under the name "Alan De Smet."

Registration

The reception is free, while for breakfast you'll pay your own bill.

As the anniversary has passed, registration is closed.

More information on CS Department's celebration. Registration for other CS Department events is separate. You do not need to register for the CS Department's events to attend the HTCondor events.
