ANNOTATOR INSTRUCTIONS 1. For each tweet, a) Determine the category. Indicate this via the drop-down on the left. Non-English and garbage tweets should be marked as "Other". If the tweet is "Other", skip (b)(c) and proceed to the next tweet. b) Tag the emotion of the author: click on "EMOTION" and type: ! anger, $ scared ( sad, * libration, @ embarrassment, ) pride, - empathy, c) If you think that the tweet might be teasing, click on "TEASE" and type Y. Otherwise leave it as N. d) Tag "AUTHOR" by role: .: not a person (the default) A: accuser, S: assistant, B: bully, D: defender, I: info-recipient, F: reinforcer, R: reporter, V: victim, O: other role If you enter something other than the original tag, it will appear in red. If you are unsure of the correct tag for a person, enter "O". You may also use Tab/Shift+Tab or the left and right arrow keys to change the currently selected token. 2. When you are done with a page of items, click the "Submit Query" button at the bottom. This will add your annotations to an output file on the server and display the next page of items. 3. When you have completed the last page of the batch of annotations specified by the URL, a completion message will be displayed.
