"Stop, you bad dog!" cried the boy, but the dog simply ignored the boy. Down shadowed paths and across sunlit lawns the boy and dog raced, deeper and deeper into the garden. Finally, the boy drew close enough to grab hold of the dog. But as the boy reached out the boy slipped and fell. The dog barked with laughter as the dog galloped out of sight. The boy slowly picked himself up. The boy knew he had to find the dog before the man discovered the boy. Bruised and tired, the boy hurried off in the dog's direction.
