Abstract:
Over 1.25 billion people around the world have discovered the Internet over the past decade, but less than 25% of them have access to affordable broadband access. At Meraki we've developed a new way of covering large numbers of people with wireless broadband, with the mission of helping connect the next billion people.
In this talk, we'll sample a handful of the several thousand Meraki networks around the world from networks in rural Chile to our un-official San Francisco network, which serves tens of thousands of users. We'll also discuss the unexpected technical challenges of working with thousands of wireless links in a network and will leave room for plenty of questions.
