Numerical Studies of Steady, Viscous, Incompressible Flow Between Two Rotating Spheres

Donald Greenspan
1971

A new numerical method is developed for the solution of steady state, viscous, incompressible flow between two rotating spheres. The Navier-Stokes equations are approximated by a triple sequence of linear problems, each of which has a diagonally dominant coefficient matrix. Examples are given for Reynolds numbers in the range of 10 Download this report (PDF)
