What’s Condor Good For?
Managing a large number of jobs
- You specify the jobs in a file and submit them to Condor, which runs them all and sends you email when they complete
- Condor maintains a persistent job queue
- Checkpointing allows guaranteed forward progress of your jobs, even jobs that run for weeks before completion
