This talk introduces the work done to take advantage of the functionalities offered by MRNet and Dyninst in the CEPBA-Tools tracing package. Our first development has consisted in using Dyninst to instrument OpenMP applications in Itanium-based machines. We have recently started to use MRNet to provide intelligence to the instrumentation mechanisms in order to maximize the traces useful information.
