Project 2: Motion Capture Viewer!

A viewer for 3-D skeletal motion data.

PLATFORM:

Windows NT, FLTK, OpenGL

GOAL:

The goal of this project was to give us experience in dealing
with motion capture data, angle representations, and forward kinematics.


FEATURES:

  • The ability to read and write BVH and ASF/ASM file formats.
  • Support for Euler Angle, Quaternion, and Exponential Map rotations.
  • Linear interpolation of angles.
  • "Tracing" of joint end-effectors.
  • supports ellipsoid, box, and cylinder bones
  • Automatic camera movements
  • Optical motion data simulation
  • Maya (MEL Script) export
  • Multiple skeleton support
