Call for PhD Forum: 22nd IEEE Conference on Mobile Data Management (IEEE MDM 2021) June 15 - 18, 2021, VIRTUAL Toronto, Canada [Main focus] Following the success of previous years, MDM 2021 will host a Ph.D. Forum (Doctoral Colloquium) on Mobile Data Management. The Forum aims at providing Ph.D. students and recent Ph.D. graduates with an opportunity to present their dissertation research, recently accomplished or still ongoing, in all areas of mobile data management. The venue also offers an excellent opportunity for Ph.D. students to network with other junior and senior researchers directly, exchange ideas, receive constructive feedback, guidance, as well as learn about emerging problems tackled by the community. An interactive mentoring panel, with panelists from both industry & academia, is also planned with the aim of preparing Ph.D. students and recent graduates for their future career and professional life. In particular, the forum will be organized as a regular session of MDM 2021 attended by a wide range audience, including experts in mobile data management from industry, academia, and government. During the Forum, each presenter will have a brief presentation while the senior members of the community will provide constructive technical comments. Best presentation awards will be given to the most innovative ideas/efforts presented at the Forum.
