The Process & Data Intelligence research unit of Fondazione Bruno Kessler is offering a 2 years research position in field of Machine Learning and Process Mining and its applications to healthcare within the Circular Health for Industry project (
In addition to the project partners, the winning candidate will have the chance to work on a stimulating topic within one of the most active research groups in Process Mining and in the newly created centre for Health & WellBeing at Fondazione Bruno Kessler.

The successful candidate is expected to conduct research and development activities in the area of machine learning and process mining. The conducted activities will range from the application of AI, machine learning and process mining approaches to problems in the e-health field, to research activities in the field of predictive and prescriptive process monitoring; from the identification of new approaches combining logic and symbolic reasoning to the experimentation of AI and machine learning approaches in the context of process mining problems.


The ideal candidate should have:
 - Master in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related fields;
 - Experience in machine/deep learning;
 - Ability to work in research projects;
 - Knowledge of Python programming language;
 - Oral and written proficiency in English;
 - Soft skill (communication, teambuilding, problem solving).
 - Ability to work in a collaborative environment, with a strong commitment to achieve assigned objectives and to realize practical applications.


Type of contract: fixed term contract - full time
Start date: preferably at the beginning of April 2021
End date: 25 February 2023
Gross annual salary: about 34.500 EUR
