Several Assistant (tenure-track) and Associate Professor Positions in Computer Science at Aalborg University, Denmark

In the Department of Computer Science, Technical Faculty of IT and Design, Aalborg University, several positions as Assistant Professor (tenure-track) and Associate Professor are open for appointment starting June 1, 2021 or soon thereafter.

We are looking to further expand our academic capacity with up to 15 new positions within existing strongholds, as well as further develop selected areas of strategic importance. We therefore welcome strong applications in the areas of Computer Science covered by our three research groups (Database and Web technologies, Human-Centered Computing, and Distributed, Embedded and Intelligent Systems), and in particular in the areas of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Security, Web Data & Knowledge Engineering, Systems Development, and Networks.

About the Database and Web Technologies group:
The group focuses on querying, data mining, and machine learning in two broad areas:
data-intensive systems, including spatio-temporal and multidimensional data management and analytics;
and web science and knowledge engineering, including graph data management, knowledge graphs, and recommender systems.

About the Department of Computer Science:
The Department of Computer Science features a broad range of synergistic activities within research and education in the general area of computer science, including curiosity-driven research and targeted research in collaboration with industrial partners, as well as traditional university education, with a unique problem- and project-based focus, and continued education and knowledge dissemination.
