PostDoc / Scientist Position in Cryptoasset Analytics | AIT Austrian Institute of Technology

The AIT Austrian Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenured scientist position in the field of cryptoasset analytics. 

CONTEXT

This position will be embedded in AIT's Data Science & Artificial Intelligence research group and closely collaborate with the newly founded Cryptofinance & Cryptoasset Analytics research group at the Vienna Complexity Science Hub (CSH): https://www.csh.ac.at/complexity-science/Cryptofinance/

WE SEARCH FOR

A scientist with a PhD in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or related field who is interested in investigating technical and socio-economic aspects of cryptoasset ecosystems and decentralized finance. A demonstrated background in network analytics, machine learning or mining of massive datasets is a plus. The successful applicant will support the establishment of an interdisciplinary research group that aims at finding novel measurement and modeling methods that enable a deeper, quantitative understanding of complex cryptoasset ecosystems. You will have a leading role in defining the group's research agenda and co-supervise PhD and master students. You must have a critical, open-minded and collaborative spirit.

YOUR PROFILE

You should have a scientific track record equivalent to the level of a recent, successful PhD. Having worked with Cryptoassets or Distributed Ledger technology before is a plus. You must be proficient in English both written and spoken. We expect you to have the ability to independently carry out data-intensive empirical research as exemplified by your past works that showcase your strong programming, modeling and mathematical skills.
