We are currently seeking a Lecturer (Computing) to join our School of Sciences and make a valued contribution to teaching and research in Information Technology at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Joining a large and diverse team, you will: -- deliver course content using different teaching modes (including on campus and online) to students ranging from service teaching to those specialising in Computing and Information Technology; -- work collaboratively with the Computing and Information Technology team to lead the delivery and update of a range of courses including Operating Systems, Web Technology, Software Engineering and Network Programming; -- promote and market computing related programs; -- undertake high quality Computational research particularly in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and other priority research areas; -- contribute to new course development including the development of mirror courses (based on existing content) at either the undergraduate or postgraduate level. You will possess relevant tertiary qualifications along with the ability to undertake quality research as evidenced by publication in high quality journals, external research grant funding and successful HDR supervision. With strong technical skills in Linux server administration, containerisation and virtualisation, you will develop and deliver high-quality, multi-mode teaching to a diverse student cohort in the areas of application development, Web technology, Node.js and DevOps. You will also have the capability to contribute to teaching of non-computing courses, and administer computing systems and resources. The capacity to operate as a CCNA Instructor and significant experience administering networks will be highly regarded. Your ability to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics, professional staff and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes in cross-disciplinary and geographically distributed teams, coupled with a capacity to leverage emerging technologies to ensure the provision of high quality, contemporary programs and courses and a positive student experience will be key to your success in this rewarding role.
