Full Professorship in “Business Process Management - Foundations and Engineering” at RWTH Aachen University (W2)

RWTH Aachen University is looking for a Full Professor (W2, tenure track) in Business Process Management - Foundations and Engineering. The applicant is expected to build up a research group in computer science working on Business Process Management (BPM). Possible topics include computational theories, algorithms, semantics, and methods for modeling and analyzing business processes, process analytics, BPM systems, analysis tools, and empirical research (e.g., the analysis of large data sets and the scalability of BPM solutions). Ideally, the focus is on the interface between BPM Foundations and BPM Engineering, but the scope is deliberately kept broad.

RWTH Aachen University is one of Germany’s Universities of Excellence and has one of the best Computer Science departments in the country (top-3). The applicant should further strengthen RWTH Aachen University’s research and teaching portfolio by contributing methods, techniques, and tools to support the design, enactment, management, and analysis of operational business processes. The new research group will collaborate with the Process and Data Science (PADS) group led by Prof. van der Aalst and complements the existing research strengths.

The application deadline is January 15th, 2021. See https://www.rwth-aachen.de/global/show_document.asp?id=aaaaaaaaatznbpn and apply by following the instructions on https://www.fb1.rwth-aachen.de/jobs.
