********************************************************************** Dutch-Belgian Database Day 2020 Friday, December 11, 2020 Location: Online https://soft.vub.ac.be/DBDBD2020/ *********************************** The Dutch-Belgian DataBase Day (DBDBD) is a yearly one-day workshop on database research, organized in a Belgian or Dutch university. DBDBD 2020 will be held online and is organized by the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. Due to the cooperation between SIKS and the local organization of DBDBD, registration for SIKS-members is free. At DBDBD, young researchers are given an opportunity to present their work to the Dutch/Belgian database research community. Presentations will be given in the form of plenary talks or posters. There are no published proceedings; abstracts of oral and poster presentations will be published on the website. The workshop welcomes non-Belgian/Dutch participants (presentations are in English). The workshop consists of oral and poster presentations. There are no printed proceedings. Abstracts of oral and poster presentations will be published on the DBDBD 2020 website. ** Submissions ** We invite submissions (1 page abstract) on a broad range of topics related to data management, including systems research, theory, data mining, information retrieval, semantic Web, etc. ** Important dates ** Abstract submission: 13 November, 2020. Notification: 18 November, 2020. Registration deadline: 04 December, 2020. Workshop: 11 December, 2020. ** Participation ** The final program will be posted on the website https://soft.vub.ac.be/DBDBD2020/ before the notification deadline. However, people are already encouraged to register. For members of SIKS, the registration fee will be covered by SIKS. ** Organization ** DBDBD 2020 is organized by the Software Languages Lab of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
