Fraunhofer ITEM in Hannover (Germany) is looking for a 
   *researcher (male/female)*
in the area of machine learning on medical data sets.

Required skills:
A scientific higher educational degree (MSc.) in Natural Science, preferably with focus on Informatics / Bioinformatics
Substantial experience in Machine Learning and Software Development (R, Python)
Good background in biomedical data management
Good communication and writing skills in English


About the project:
We aim to develop a clinical decision support platform that supports both explainable AI as well as self-learning ML ("AutoML") components.

We will work with both clinical and company partners on real-world medical data sets.

It will be possible to obtain a PhD degree in Computer Science.
