Data Science Infrastructure, Knowledge Graph

The Department of Computer Science at Southern Methodist University has openings for fully-funded PhD positions in the fields of Data Science Infrastructure and Knowledge Graph, starting from Spring 2021 or Fall 2021.

We invite highly motivated applicants with strong interests in some of the following areas:
- Data/process mining and recommender system;
- Machine learning and deep learning techniques, especially reinforcement learning, graph mining (Graph CNN), tensor methods;
- Natural language processing and knowledge graph techniques;
- Large-scale software system development in the Cloud;
- Service Oriented Computing

Qualification:
- Master (preferred) or Bachelor degree in computer science, data science, information science, machine learning, or related subject area.
- Deep interest to work on applying machine learning and data mining on solving data science infrastructure and software engineering problems
- Good programming skills (Java/Python).
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Candidates with research experience in the required fields (preferred)
