IEEE MELECON 2020 - June 16-18, 2020, Palermo, Italy http://melecon2020.org/ Track Theme 2.5 Title: Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics Organizers: Francesco Masulli, University of Genova, Italy Ethem Alpaydn, Ozyegin University, Turkey Scope: In recent decades we have witnessed a growing investment by all economic sectors in the acquisition of ever larger volumes of data and this has led to minting the term Big Data. Most of the data that is produced is accumulated in the cloud or in data servers and only a small fraction of the information it contains can be used through conventional processing techniques. The implicit information content of such data can be transformed into an asset of enormous value for companies, but to extract the most valuable content from big-data it is necessary to use the most advanced techniques of artificial intelligence, e, and in particular those based on machine learning. Analysts point to artificial intelligence as a major technological challenge that can open up new scenarios for businesses and that could double the growth rate of developed economies by 2035 and boost labor productivity with increases up to at 40%.
