We have several Postdoctoral researcher opportunities at MIT CSAIL within the

- High-Performance Systems Research Group (Prof. Manya Ghobadi)

We are looking for two or more postdoctoral researchers for our broad research program in data management and networking systems. We seek strong research skills that can contribute to one or more of the following projects:
- Northstar (http://northstar.mit.edu/) including AutoML Systems (DSG)
- Improving Data Management Systems through ML (SageDB - http://cidrdb.org/cidr2019/papers/p117-kraska-cidr19.pdf )
- ML-enhanced Algorithms and Data Structures (e.g., scheduling, caching, sorting, indexing). 
- Novel data center architectures for fast training of ML workloads
- Hardware architecture for in-network acceleration
- Risk-aware network optimization (TeaVaR - http://teavar.csail.mit.edu/ ) 
- Optical networks for high-performance cloud

*Qualifications*
Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines. In addition, they should have a strong background in machine learning and systems, and have excellent programming skills. The ideal candidate already has several top-tier publications and worked on larger systems projects.
