PhD position in time series and entity extraction Description: The eXascale Infolab (XI) at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland is looking for a PhD student with a MSc degree (or finishing by the end of October 2016) to conduct research on a newly approved EU H2020 Big Data project. The project covers tasks on time series analysis and entity extraction. The candidate should have strong analytical and programming skills, and a good command of the English language. As a PhD student he will contribute to build scalable algorithms, evaluate them and publish the results in top-tier venues.
