The Second Workshop on Big Data Open Source Systems (BOSS'16) at this years VLDB will give a deep-dive introduction into several active, publicly available, open-source systems. The systems will be presented in hands-on tutorials by experts and developers of the presented systems. In contrast to the first instance of the workshop, we conducted an open call for tutorials this year, and used a public vote to decide upon the tutorials to be presented.

We are happy to announce that the public vote is over, and as a result, the following systems will be presented:
