The French Conference on Advanced Databases (Journées Bases de Données Avancées) emphasizes these important changes, taking into account emerging challenges caused by huge volumes of heterogeneous data that are stored in distributed environments. In 2006 again, the conference aims to present the most recent research results in the field of databases, including novel theoretical or practical problems and challenges. In this context, the program committee of BDA2006 seeks for submissions of original scientific papers, related to the topics listed below (non exhaustive list): - Application and information systems applied to : genomic, astronomy, environment, health... - Databases and mobile objects - Multimedia, temporal and spatial databases - Semi-structured databases and XML - Databases and Web semantic - Consistency : transactions, synchronization, replication... - Design of information systems - Data warehouse and multidimensional data - Data mining - Data grid, interoperability and data integration - Query languages and query optimization - Logic and databases - Database services and component architectures - Web services and Peer to Peer databases - Information retrieval in the Web - Performances : indexation, parallelism, distribution, benchmarks … - Cooperative systems - Security and confidentiality - Visualization and interrogation of large volume of data Furthermore, BDA 2006 will include a demo session for software research prototypes related to the scope of the conference. ********************************** * Instructions to authors ********************************** Authors are invited to submit in pdf format either original papers, or papers submitted or published this year in international conferences.
