Abstract: In no particular order:  lawyers, guns, money, marketing,
DNA, NDAs, IP, PIs, non-competes, contracts, bioinformatics, porn,
marriage, disability, liability, advisory boards, ethics, options, success,
failure, friendship, hypocrisy, fun, bankruptcy.   Usually the audience
just asks questions the whole hour, never finding out that there really
was no talk prepared.

Biography: The speaker is a freelance consultant on information
retrieval.  Before choosing the Dark Side, he held more or less
respectable jobs at AT&T Labs, Bell Labs, and the University
of Chicago, and wrote lots of papers and stuff.
