Viewing Picture, Image and Graphics Files In Statistics

xv is a comprehensive utility for displaying many types of image and graphics files. You can start xv with the command (example on public06):

public06% xv &

Right-click on the intro screen and you can then navigate to the file you want to view and display it in an X Window (if you navigate to /afs, the application will hang, so enter a directory in the Load file: box to navigate from). Information on xv is available at the xv information pages.
