Word Processing And Text Processing FrameMaker Available Version of FrameMaker

We currently have Adobe FrameMaker version 5.5.6 installed. Running Adobe FrameMaker on Various System

FrameMaker is available for SPARC Solaris and Windows NT systems in the department.

To start FrameMaker:

On UNIX systems:

maker (This should be in your search path.) On Windows NT systems:

Select FrameMaker from the Start menu in the | Programs submenu (you should find it under the | Adobe submenu there). Get Help With FrameMaker

Use the on-line help system within FrameMaker.

On UNIX systems:

Click on the | Help button (in the button block that appears when you start FrameMaker). On Windows NT systems:

All on-line help screens are accessible from the Help menu in the top menubar.

A hard copy of the FrameMaker manuals is also available from the CSL Library in room 2350. Running FrameMaker From Home

We need to purchase additional licenses in quantities of 20 or more, so we can not buy discounted individual copies of FrameMaker for home use. Shrink-wrapped copies are available from the DoIT Tech Store and other software vendors.

Announcements are sent to the department when upgrades are purchased. If you are interested in getting a copy of the latest FrameMaker at that time, you can buy into the discounted department purchase at that time.
