You must use the laptop in the cabinet to run the IBID program
Goto START --> PROGRAMS --> IBID 1.5 --> IBID to start the
whiteboard program. You should hear some music from the
speaker on the whiteboard when the program begins.
You can now use the buttons onthe whiteboard, or on the taskbar
in the IBID program to make various selections such as color,
snapshot, or erase
using the color selections
Push the botton corresponding to the color of the marker
you are using, so that the program will know which color
of marker you are using.
taking a snapshot
Select the picture of the camera (on the whiteboard, or
within the program) to take a snapshot of what is on the
board at that moment.
You can take numerous snapshots and later scroll back
through them (within the IBID program) and save or print
selected snapshots.
saving or printing a snapshot
From the menu choices, select FILE then SAVE AS.. or
PRINT (as appropriate). It may take a moment for the
FILE menu to appear, be patient.
Your snapshots are saved in the format .wbd. Whiteboard
snapshots can be exported to other file formats.
exporting snapshots to other file formats
Whiteboard snapshots can be exported to other file
types. To do this, go to the FILE menu, and select
EXPORT IMAGES. You have the choice between bitmap (.bmp)
and windows metafiles (.wmf).
The bitmap filetype is themost boradly used of the two
file types. We recommend that if you are unsure of
which file type to export to, use bitmap.
using other functions
Most of the other functions on the whiteboard are very
self explanatory, such as using the eraser.
viewing your whiteboard snapshots later
You need to access the program that will view your
whiteboard snapshots. You can find this application in
S:\std\bin\ibid.exe.
If you want to export your whiteboard images from this
application, goto the EDIT menu, OPTIONS, then select
the EXPORTING IMAGES tab.
You can only use this application from a lap supported
NT workstation.
If you exported your snapshot to a bitmap, several
programs (e.g. Mozilla/Netscape/Internet Explorer)
can be used to view them.
