					<para>
    The results of a radio continuum survey at 21 cm wavelength of the
    Galactic plane between 357 and 95.5deg and -4 to 4deg carried out with
    the Effelsberg 100-m radio telescope. The data have been absolutely
    calibrated by using the Stockert northern sky survey at the same
    wavelength. Contour maps are shown with a sensitivity of 61.6mJy/beam
    area at an angular resolution (HPBW) of 94. In addition, a list of 884
    compact objects with peak flux densities greater than 98 mJy and
    apparent sizes less than 16 arcsec is presented.</para></abstract>
