New data about the morphological types, the isolation class, and the radial velocities have been added to this version. The catalog includes running numbers for the galaxies, equatorial coordinates, isolation classes, apparent magnitudes, morphological types, major axes, axial ratios, and radial velocities.

UNKNOWN UNKNOWN The (CIG) was received by the Astronomical Data Center (ADC), NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, from the Centre de Donnees Astronomiques, Strasbourg (CDS), in December 1986. The original tape consisted of two text files, one containing the catalog data and another containing a short explanation of the catalog fields and the list of radial velocity source references.
