[EI Compendex, SCOPUS and IEEEXplore] International Conference in Green and Ubiquitous Technology
(Green- Ubiquitous Tech 2012)
Bandung, Indonesia
07 -08 July 2012
http://www.gut-conf.org

SCOPE
International Conference in Green and Ubiquitous Technology (Green- Ubiquitous Tech 2012), focuses on the role of Information and Communication Technology, or Ecological Technology, to accomplish more eco-responsible behavior of people and energy efficiency in computing and promoting environmentally friendly computer technologies and systems. The event aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners who are interested in both Information and Communication Technology and the ecological impact of computing on the environment. Industrial expertise who are committed to work on the development of eco-effective technologies and technology applications are also welcome.

The current United Nations Millenium Declaration, people and countries have been strongly encouraged to reach better, conservation and sustainable development of all resources provided by nature. Although views may differ, most scientists would attribute a key role to technology in achieving this. Information technology, in particular, can provide monitoring facilities, control systems, intelligent construction models and so on. From a scientific point of view we especially welcome input considering the promise that Service-Oriented Architectures hold as an enabler of sophisticated mechanisms that would support a transition to or monitoring of environment-friendly solutions.

The four directions in which we are envisioning the impact of the conference are: 1. Intelligent of Energy Consumption System for Global Warming, 2. Computing Platforms for Efficient Sharing of Infrastructures Resources, 3. User Interface Design that Facilitate Green Behavior of Humans, 4. Research and Development Contribution for Greening the IT Industry

AREAS & TOPICS
We invite researchers and practitioners to present their innovative ideas concerning either 'Inside' solutions (that relate to the purpose of making the IT industry greener) or 'Outside' solutions (that relate to the support of ICT for intelligent management of energy consumption, efficient sharing of resources, and greener behavior of humans, and at the same time addressing either Effectiveness (no waste being produced) and/or Efficiency (pushing for less consumption).
